Flash Fiction

   With her brown curly shoulder-length hair tied in a bun, her favorite black converse rubber shoes, and her black color turtle neck sweater tucked in her wide-leg denim pants. Astrid is standing in front of the golden gate of Traedarth Academy. She's looking at the golden gate emotionless.

She went to the guard house and said "I am transferring to this school" in her cold voice.

The guard immediately opened the gate and said "G-Go to the headmaster's office, in the first building, turns right and you will see him there. Welcome to the Traedarth Academy”.

Astrid bypassed the guard and followed the directions the guard gave her. While she’s walking, students are looking at her, and the boys saying she’s a goddess! I will court her! And the girls are looking at her and then rolling their eyes at Astrid. She ignored the students and continued walking to go to the headmaster's office.

When she arrived at the headmaster's office, she immediately knock two times. And when she heard the “come in”, she open the door and she saw white marble tiles, organized books on bookshelves and the headmaster.

The headmaster greets her and she nods.

The headmaster said “I’m Gwydion Adler the Headmaster of this school. How may I help you, beautiful lady?”

“I want to transfer here to Traedarth Academy,” Astrid said as usual with her cold voice.

“Oh!” the Headmaster exclaimed.

“May I get your information about you miss?” the Headmaster said.

“Here”. Astrid handed the paper where her information is written on that paper.

The Headmaster took it and read it, after a few seconds the Headmaster spoke, 

“You’re Astrid, 18 years old and your magic is you can control the element of fire.” Astrid nodded her head in response.

“How come you can control the element of fire when Prince Theodore is the only one who can control it? Where are you from?” the Headmaster said.

“I don’t know. I came from a very far away town.” Astrid said.

“Huh? Ok, here is your dorm key. Your dorm number is 100. By the way, you will have dormmates. Find the school dormitory on this map.” Headmaster Gwydion handed her the map of the Academy.

“Welcome to the Traedarth Academy, Astrid where the magic does exist.” Headmaster Gwydion said in a cheerful tone.

“Hmmm. Thanks, Headmaster.” Astrid said in a monotone and leave the Headmaster's office.

Astrid looks at the map to find the school dormitory because she already wants to rest. Minutes later, she found the school dormitory. 

She also found her dorm and she knocks twice on the door. Seconds later, the door opened. The two girls shout out loud ‘cause they are too excited because they will a dormmates.

“Woaaaaah! You’re beautiful you look like a goddess! I’m very happy because we will have a new dormmate.” Said the brown-haired girl in a cheerful tone.

“Hello! What’s your name? Your magic? By the way, my name is Venice, I can control stone. And her name is Cassia, she can control sand.” The black-haired girl said.

“Astrid.Fire.Can I come in?” Astrid ask.

“Ooops we’re sorry. We are just so excited to meet our new dormmate. Come in Astrid.” Cassia said.

Astrid enter their dorm and scanned their dorm. It is big just exactly for the three of them. After she scanned their dorm she ask where is her room.

“May I know where my room is? I’m tired I want to take a nap” Astrid said in her sleepy tone.

“Oh! On the second floor, the color sky blue door is your room.” Venice said.

Astrid went to her room, and she scan her room. There’s a study desk, a bed, a cabinet, a bathroom, and a comfort room. She put her clothes in the cabinet and after that, she went to the bathroom to take a shower. A few minutes later, she went out of her bathroom to blowdry her hair, after she blowdries her hair she immediately go to her bed to take a nap.

She woke up when she heard a knocking sound on her door.

“Astrid wake up! Let’s go we will eat dinner in the hall”. Cassia said

“I’m awake, Cassia. Wait for me downstairs.” Astrid said in her sleepy tone.

After Astrid fixes herself, they leave their dorm to have dinner in the hall. When they enter the hall, Astrid saw many students. The three of them immediately get their food and they went to the available table.

“Astrid, can we be friends? I don’t know but I’m comfortable with you.” Venice said.

“Sure, we can be friends Venice and Cassia.” Astrid said and smile a little.

“Really!?” Venice and Cassia exclaimed.

“Yeah.” Astrid said.

“OMG! Thank you Astrid!” the two said in a joyful tone.

Astrid just nodded and they continue eating their food. While they are eating, the hall became noisy. Girls and even boys are screaming. The Royalties have arrived. Astrid met two pairs of black piercing eyes of a guy who is in front.

“They are the Royalties, the heirs of the Kings and Queens of Traedarth Kingdom.” Cassia whispered.

“The Prince whose winking at the girls is Prince Arion, the Prince of Ice Kingdom. He’s a playboy, every day he changed girls.” Venice said.

“The Princess whose not smiling is Princess Tamara, the Princess of Earth Kingdom. Maybe because she’s not smiling because she’s in a bad mood. But, she’s kind and friendly.” Cassia said.

“The Prince whose not smiling is Prince Blaze, the Prince of Thunder Kingdom. He’s quiet and cold.” Venice said.

“ The Princess carrying a rabbit is Princess Celestia, the Princess of Shadow Kingdom. She’s childish and friendly.” Cassia said

“And lastly, the Prince whose so freaking handsome is Prince Theodore, the Prince of Fire Kingdom. He’s cold even though his magic is fire. Don’t mess with him. He might burn you.” Venice said to Astrid in a warning tone.

“Hmmm.Okay.” Astrid said.

Minutes later, Princess Celestia went to their table together with the other Royalty. The student's attention is on them because the Royalties approach them. Students were gossiping about them, but they ignored it.

“Hello! Can we join here?”Princess Celestia asks the three of them.

“Hello, Princes and Princesses!Yes. You can join here.”Cassia happily said.

The other two tables have been connected with the table of the three girls. The Royalties sat on their chairs. Prince Theodore sits next to Astrid.

“Hi! I heard there’s a new transferee here in Academy. Maybe you’re the transferee because this is my first time seeing you here. What’s your name?”Princess Tamara asks Astrid.

“Hello. My name is Astrid. Yes, I’m a transferee here in Traedarth Academy, Princess Tamara.

“Oh, please don’t call us Prince and Princess. Can we be friends?”Princess Tamara asks Astrid, Cassiana, and Venice.

“Of course, Tamara.” The three girls said.

“By the way, what is your magic, Astrid?” Princess Celestia asks Astrid.

“I can control the element of fire.” Astrid said.

“Huh? How come you can control fire when only Theodore can be the only one who can control fire here?”Prince Arion asks.

“I don’t know.” Astrid simply said.

After they eat dinner together with the Royalties they immediately went to their dorm to sleep. Because tomorrow is the start of the new school year.

At exactly 6 AM, Astrid woke up early and did her morning routine before she leave the dorm to have a tour of the Academy.She went to the garden to relax and she saw Prince Theodore sitting at the chair.

“Who are you? And why do you have the magic same as mine?” Prince Theodore asks Astrid.

Astrid didn’t even open her mouth to answer what Prince Theodore asking of her.

“I think you’re an enemy. You’re hiding your powerful presence but I can feel it. Do you think I’m a fool?”Prince Theodore sarcastically said.

Astrid stilled on Prince Theodore said. Prince Theodore saw it and he smirked.

“So you’re an enemy.” Prince Theodore said.

Prince Theodore throws fireballs where Astrid is standing. But, with the fast reflexes of Astrid, she avoided the fireballs. The fireballs went toward the trees and cause a fire in the garden. Astrid makes a fire shuriken and throws it to Prince Theodore immediately avoided the shuriken. They exchanged attacks using their elements until they realized the garden is burning.

Astrid immediately throw water balls at the trees that are burning, and the fire disappeared. Prince Theodore saw it and he was shocked. Because Astrid can control the element of water!

“I said who the fuck are you!? You’re mysterious!” Prince Theodore exclaimed.

“It's for you to find out who the fuck I am, Prince Theodore.” Astrid said in her cold voice.

“Bye Prince Theodore. I have a class to attend.” Astrid smirked and leave Prince Theodore dumbfounded.

Months later, the Royalties became friends with Astrid, Cassia, and Venice. They forget that they’re suspecting Astrid's identity. When an enemy is attacking them outside the Academy, they saw its capabilities of Astrid. They are always shocked because Astrid can control elements of fire, water, thunder, nature, and even dark magic. Prince Theodore is in love with Astrid, he confesses his feelings to Astrid. And now, he’s courting Astrid. He promises to himself that he will not be suspecting Astrid anymore because he trusts Astrid.

“Astrid, you’re so mysterious you can control the elements of what we have. And you can even control Dark Magic. Can we know what is your real identity?” Prince Blaze in a begging tone.

“I’m sorry but I can’t say my real identity. But, trust me guys I’m not an enemy.” Astrid said in her soothing voice.

But a battle came, where the enemy is the Dark Mages of the Dark Kingdom like a witch, wizards, and other mythical creatures who wants to take revenge against the Traedarth Kingdom. Many Traedarth died because of this battle,

Astrid fighting with the King of the Dark Kingdom, Zeus. They are both powerful but they have some bruises and they are exhausted because of their fight.

“You’re such a weakling Princess, Astrid. And that’s why I killed your mother before, ‘cause she’s weak just like you.” King Zeus arrogantly said and laugh devilishly.

Astrid gets mad because King Zeus killed her mother. She made an attack, she use all of her elements and make powerful magic and she threw it towards King Zeus.

King Zeus shout out loud because of the pain. He vomit a lot of blood and his heartbeat stopped. And finally, King Zeus died, and at the same time, Astrid vomit blood because she overuse her power. The Royalties and Cassia and Venice run to her, crying.

“No, no, no. Astrid, please hang on I will bring you to the healer. Love hang on.” Prince Theodore in his shaky voice.

“I’m s-sorry guys but I will not live longer here in the Kingdom. P-p-please take care of yourselves and I’m so happy that I met you all. Theodore, Love I’m sorry but I will not keep my promise to be with you forever. I-I love you.” Astrid said in her weak voice.

“Nooooooo Astrid wake up!Please wake up Love!.” Prince Theodore in his begging voice

The Traedarth and even the Kings and Queens witness how does Prince Theodore begging to Astrid to wake up. They witness the Prince of Fire Kingdom crying and lamenting because the one and only he love died in his arms.

According to the Book of Prophecy, Astrid is destined to die because Astrid will be the one to end the Battle of the Dark Kingdom and the Traedarth Kingdom.

Astrid is the Princess of Traedarth Kingdom that’s why she can control all the elements.
